Together with my colleague Zach Parolin (Columbia University, US), I wrote a commentary in The Lancet Public Health on the social impact of the coronavirus pandemic. In particular the school closures are likely to hit poor children the hardest. We argue that urgent action is needed to avoid the current health crisis becoming a full-blown social crisis.
